I am a fully qualified, registered psychodynamic psychotherapist working in private practice in Purley and Shoreditch.

Purley (12-15 minutes walking distance from Purley town centre, within easy access from Croydon and South London)

Shoreditch High Street within easy access from East , Central and The City of London . ( 5 minutes walk from Liverpool Street , Old Street Shoreditch train and overground stations.

Due to the Covid 19 Pandemic sessions are being held via ZOOM ( or by telephone after the first session ) until further notice.

One in four people experience emotional difficulties at some point in their lives. Starting counselling/psychotherapy can feel daunting. My clinical training in a busy London clinic required all therapists to be in therapy ,and I therefore have direct experience of the therapeutic relationship and process.

I work with a diverse group of people facing a broad range of difficulties in their working and personal relationships and the uncomfortable feelings which these can engender including anxiety, depression, loneliness, lack of self -esteem and stress. These uncomfortable feelings can occur in response to events in life or internal fears which you may not be fully aware of.

My intention is to listen carefully to what's troubling you, and we would work collaboratively to understand and work through unresolved uncomfortable thoughts, feelings, and behaviours as the basis for change and the development of inner resilience to face life's challenges.
We would meet once a week , on the same day and at the same time. ( Twice weekly therapy is available under some circumstances)

I am experienced in helping people with a wide range of issues, including:

Anxiety
Abuse
Bereavement
Depression
Difficulties with food, shopping, and use of the internet
Low self-esteem
Being or becoming a parent
Betrayals, separation and divorce
Childhood trauma.
Stress
Transitions including starting university.
